A judge ordered a competency hearing for a 12-year-old Wisconsin girl accused of stabbing her friend after experts said she was mentally incompetent to continue with her defense.

According to the Chicago Tribune, two doctors said in court Wednesday that mental evaluations determined Morgan Geyser is incompetent.

Geyser, along with 12-year-old Anissa Weier, have been charged as adults with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, according to previous Patch coverage. Police said the girls plotted to kill a classmate, luring her to a weekend birthday-party sleepover and then a wooded park where one they stabbed her 19 times.

The Tribune reports that Judge Michael Bohren ordered an Aug. 1 competency hearing for Geyser.

Last time I checked, the poor victim survived, so how is this a fatal stabbing?

Nobody ever said it was fatal-- it was little more than a pin prick. I bet it didn't even hurt. The poor "victim" was faking it so everyone feels sorry for her. Now she's got the world on a string and two poor, innocent slenderman fans are behind bars for life!
