Police were dispatched to a possible domestic disturbance with a woman being battered at 9:55 p.m. July 24 in the 300 block of East Main Street. When the first officer arrived on scene, he found Gainer’s skin tone turning blue and it appeared she couldn’t breathe and was choking on her own vomit.

The officer noted Gainer's pulse was very weak and he requested medical help for performing lifesaving procedures.

As Gainer was being treated, the officer found a recently used syringe, a pill bottle with various prescription drugs in it, a kit for heroin and a baggie with heroin. A pharmacist told the officer that the combination of prescription pills would have “very negative consequences on the human body.” Gainer had prescriptions for all the pills except for one.

The complaint does not state if there was an actual domestic disturbance or if anyone was battered at the residence. It also does not state why the woman was unconscious.
