Complaint states gun was located in Waukesha park.

A 17-year-old Waukesha teenager is facing charges for allegedly stealing a shotgun and other items out of a residence in the 100 block of West Broadway.

Cruz E. Robles was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Friday with one count of burglary while arming himself with a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, on June 10, officers were called to a residence for a burglary complaint when the occupant of the dwelling came home to find his door unlocked and several items stolen from his apartment including a shotgun with “Zeke” carved into the wood pump.

The Waukesha Police Department took Robles into custody Thursday afternoon following a tactical situation after police say Robles ran from officers who spotted him in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

Streets were blocked for hours during the standoff but no one was injured when Robles was arrested. Capt. Dennis Angle said the police department's large response was because of the weapon and the suspect's history. Robles is a known gang member, according to Angle.
