Waukesha Police Seek Vehicle Involved in Hit-and-Run

Early morning accident on Jan. 26 cause damaged to traffic signal cabinet at East Main Street and Nike Drive.

The Waukesha Police Department is looking for a 1992-1996 Chevrolet G10 or G20 Sport Van (conversion van) with extensive front-end damage primarily on the passenger side.  The vehicle struck the traffic signal cabinet at East Main Street and Nike Drive on Jan. 26 and fled towards Dolphin Drive.

The Waukesha Police Department provided pictures of vans that are similar to the suspect vehicle.

We do not have a color of the vehicle, but we have a number of cars parts available for comparison.  GMC vans of the same years should also be considered.  Please forward any information to Specialist Steve Kraus (information below).

The accident occurred at 4:12 a.m. Jan. 26. A gas line was also severely damaged in the accident, causing WE Energies to shut down the line, according to the Waukesha Police Department’s call log.
