Police Serving up Wings for ‘Cops Gone Wild’

Fundraiser for Special Olympics being held at Buffalo Wild Wings on Aug. 20.

Members of the are donating their time to raise money for Special Olympics at on Aug. 20 during “Cops Gone Wild.”

The police department has a strong relationship with supporting the Special Olympics, including participating in the and the Over the Edge where people will rappel down the City Center at 735 in downtown Milwaukee.

Police officers will be guest waiters at Buffalo Wild Wings at 1180 W. Sunset Drive. The tips the police officers receive will be donated to the Special Olympics. The restaurant also is donating 10 percent of all its food sales to the organization as well.

Officers will be working from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Police officers also will be at Buffalo Wild Wings in Pewaukee at 1273 Capitol Drive.

Meanwhile, the three shifts at the Waukesha Police Department are in a contest to pick a supervisor to send over The City Center at 735 in downtown Milwaukee on Oct. 7. The winning shift will pick the supervisor who has to rappel down 17 stories. Police Chief Russell Jack, a Minnesota Vikings fan, went “Over the Edge” last year while wearing an Aaron Rodgers jersey.
