Waukesha Police Officer Receives Award for Off-Duty, Life-Saving Rescue

of Waukesha Police Officer Jim Rottscholl's swift actions that saved a 10-year-old girl's life while he was off duty and walking his dogs through a New Berlin park.
Rottscholl, who has been with the Waukesha Police Department for 23 years, was honored Monday night by the New Berlin Police Department's Crime Prevention Committee. Presenting the award was New Berlin Police Officer Scott Hippler from the Community Services Division.
Rottscholl will be honored by the New Berlin Police Department again later this year in a more formal ceremony.
