Police called to Jasper Lane on Saturday after 24-year-old man reported to be deceased.

The death of a 24-year-old man is under investigation by the Waukesha Police Department with the preliminary indications pointing to an unintentional heroin overdose, said Waukesha Police Lt. Ron Oremus.

Waukesha police were called at 1:15 p.m. Saturday to the 200 block of Jasper Lane for a report that the male was deceased, according to the police department call log.

Oremus said it could be six to eight weeks before the police department receives toxicology reports from the Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s Office to make the final determination.
