Waukesha Mother in Critical Condition After Saturday Crash

Two children also were injured in Saturday's car accident on East Main Street in Waukesha.

A Waukesha mother remained in critical condition Monday after the car she was driving with her two children aboard slammed into a tree late Saturday morning on East Main Street.

The Waukesha Police Department has not officially released their identities, but a source, who provided information on the condition of anonymity, identified the three people as Stephanie Roark, age 30, Aidan Rivera, 7, and Riley Rivera, 4.

One child was transported to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin via Flight For Life and one was sent to the hospital via ambulance, according to the Waukesha Police Department. Their mother was transported to Froedtert Hospital on Saturday after the crash. 

Aidan is listed as being in serious condition and Riley is listed as being in good condition, according to a Children's Hospital of Wisconsin spokesperson.

Aidan remained hospitalized for a serious head injury, according to the source. Riley has a broken femur, according to the source, but could be released as early as Monday.

Roark was in critical condition at Froedtert Hospital, a media spokesperson for the hospital confirmed Monday.

The Waukesha Police Department did not have any new information to provide Monday about the crash as the report has not yet been completed. The accident remains under investigation, according to Sgt. Jerry Habanek. The department reported on Saturday that all three individuals had life-threatening injuries.
