Complaint: Waukesha Man Dumps Box of Military Gear on Roommate

Suspect became upset with the victim after he refused to give him a ride, according to court documents.

A 46-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges accusing him of dumping a box full of military gear onto his roommate and then pinning him in a closet.

James E. Sneed was charged in on Monday with one count of criminal damage to property domestic abuse, one count of disorderly conduct-domestic abuse and one count of intimidating a victim of domestic abuse. If convicted, he faces up to one year and nine months in prison, and $21,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

At 2:36 a.m. Oct. 25, Sneed came home to his apartment in the 300 block of West Broadway extremely intoxicated and upset about issues he was having with his girlfriend. He asked his roommate to give him a ride, but he refused causing Sneed to become enraged.

Sneed kicked the victim’s laptop screen and grabbed a box of military gear and dumped it on him. He began to throw speakers across the room and when the victim told Sneed he was going to call the cops, Sneed pinned him in a closet.

The victim tried to call police, but Sneed kicked his cell phone out of his hand.

Sneed will make his initial appearance in court Nov. 30.
