Waukesha Man Charged with Sexually Abusing Daughter

Suspect faces more than 140 years in prison if convicted of assaulting 14-year-old while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

A Waukesha man is facing more than 140 years in prison on allegations he sexually assaulted his 14-year-old daughter on numerous occasions between 2004 and 2005.

The man-who isn’t being identified by Patch in order to protect the victim-was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Thursday with three counts of incest and one count of causing a child to view pornography. If convicted, he faces up to 146 years in prison and $310,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, the man’s daughter told officers her dad had sexually abused her on numerous occasions while they were living in the 1100 block of The Strand while he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

She said the abuse began when her dad would make out with her and one day she woke up with him in bed and he was inappropriately touching her. When she asked what he was doing, he apologized and told her he thought she was someone else, the complaint states.

On another occasion the victim came home while her dad was watching pornography and began to sexually assault her, the complaint states.

Her father continuously asked her to not tell teachers, siblings or friends about the incidents because he would go to jail for the rest of his life. The victim ran away after a point, but was asked by relatives who were unaware of the abuse that she needed to go home, according to the complaint.

The victim told officers she decided to report the abuse now because her father is now living with a friend who has a 14-year-old daughter and she was worried the abuse would happen to another girl.

The man admitted the abuse to police, saying he has grappled with drug, alcohol and pornography addictions and the victim was the only person he had abused.
