A 20-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges after he was caught selling nearly 30 grams of cocaine to a police informant, according to court documents.

Franciso J. Soberano Avila Jr. was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of manufacturing and delivering more than 15 grams of cocaine, one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place and one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to 29 years in prison and $111,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, on March 16, the informant set up a drug deal with Soberano Avila to purchase one ounce of cocaine for $950. The two agreed to meet in the parking lot of a Waukesha business on West Sunset Avenue, but en route to the location, Soberano Avila changed the meeting place to a parking lot on North Grandview Boulevard.
