At 8:23 p.m. Friday, a Waukesha police officer spotted Dollar and two women inside a small pickup truck near North Grand and Wisconsin avenues, when Dollar suddenly turned into oncoming traffic and began fleeing at a high rate of speed. The officer began to chase him, with Dollar running a red light at West Broadway and North Barstow Street and the passenger side of the truck flying open shortly afterwards.

The chase continued with Dollar running more red lights and causing hazardous driving conditions and then he made a tight turn east onto McCall Street, where the two women fell out of the truck while it went onto a lawn.

Dollar continued driving and turned southbound onto Racine Avenue and drove eastbound on the westbound traffic lane of the road. He eventually turned onto Coronado here he pulled up onto a lawn, got out of the truck and ran on foot until police caught him at a dead end.

The truck didn’t hit the house, but the owner said his family saw it coming and they had prepared for impact.

The women in the truck said Dollar was giving them a ride to the store when he saw the officer and began to flee because he told them he has a warrant out for his arrest. They pleaded with him to stop, but he refused, so they decided to jump out of the truck when he slowed down on the turn because they said they were afraid they would be killed.

Dollar is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $10,000 cash bond.
