The first deal took place in May 2010, when the informant and undercover police officer met Smith in a parking lot in the 400 block of West Wisconsin Avenue where he told the informant he needed to wait for his cocaine source before he could complete the deal. The whole transaction took about one hour to complete, but Smith sold them nearly one gram of crack cocaine.

The second deal took place in June 2010, when the informant and officer picked up Smith and drove him to a residence in the 1200 block of Raymond Street where they gave him money and he went to the house and purchased the drugs.
