Waukesha Man Accused of Ramming Car with Children Inside

Suspect, 25, had gotten into a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend, but told officers he never intended to harm anyone by ramming the car, according to criminal complaint.

A 25-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges after he allegedly kept ramming his ex-girlfriend’s car with his own vehicle despite the fact his two young children were sitting in the back seat.

Rudy Gaona was charged in Waukesha County circuit Court Monday with one count of disorderly conduct domestic abuse and one count criminal damage to property domestic abuse. If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison and $11,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, at 9:47 a.m. Friday, a Waukesha police officer was travelling westbound on Arcadian Avenue near Perkins Avenue, when he noticed a white Cadillac driven by Gaona touching the rear bumper of a Chevrolet Impala and pushing the vehicle forward. The officer saw the vehicle back up about two feet and ram the Impala again.

The officer pulled over and the woman driving the Impala appeared hysterical, the complaint states, saying a 1-year-old child and 2-year-old child were sitting the back seat of her car while Gaona was ramming it after the two got into a verbal argument while on their way to family court.

Gaona told officers the victim had been upset with him after several woman had placed friend requests with him on Facebook and while backing out of her driveway, he was struck on the right hand side of his car, which made him upset, the complaint states.
