Firefighters Extinguish Garage Fire in Waukesha

No one injured in blaze on Camden Way.

The brought a fully involved garage fire under control within minutes when a fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday at 1314 Camden Way, according to a news release from Battalion Chief Joe Hoffman.

No one was injured in the fire, which damaged the garage, a vehicle in the garage and a vehicle that was next to the garage.

“The fire did not extend to the house, due to the fire personnel’s quick attack,” the release states.

Crews from stations 2 and 3 immediately responded to the detached, two-car garage fire after an apartment resident woke up from the fire and called 9-1-1.

The two crews immediately began attacking the fire, the release states, while two other stations arrived to help knock down the fire by 4:05 a.m.

The fire remains under investigation as authorities from the Waukesha Fire Department determine the exact cause and origin of the fire, according to the release. The damage estimates also are being determined.
