Waukesha County Detective Suspended After Drunken Driving Arrest

Detective Brad Anderson was arrested in Sparta in May in a department vehicle.

A Waukesha County detective who was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in Sparta in May is suspended for 30 days without pay, according to a news release from Sheriff Dan Trawicki.

Brad Anderson, a 23-year veteran, was off duty at the time of the operating while intoxicated arrest. However, he was driving a Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department vehicle because he was in Sparta for training.

The suspension is for violations related to unbecoming conduct and use of department vehicles, according to Trawicki.

Anderson was arrested after being pulled over in Sparta around 2:30 a.m. May 5. Two Menomonee Falls police officers and a Waukesha police officer were also in the vehicle at the time of the arrest.
