2 Charged in Sporties Bar Brawl

Suspects get into a fight with an older man who bought them shots all night, then hits them with his car purposely, according to the complaint.

Two Milwaukee men are facing charges after they got into a brawl with a man at a Waukesha bar, who then hit them with his car while leaving the area.

Donnell A. Lewis, 22, and Leo F. Sieracki, 21, were charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with multiple counts of battery and disorderly conduct. If convicted, Lewis faces up to 4 ½ years in prison and $21,000 in fines while Sieracki faces up to one year in prison and $11,000 in fines.

On Friday, the men were at along with Lewis’ girlfriend when they met an older man who was playing pool with Lewis and buying them shots. During the course of the evening the man accused Sieracki of taking his wallet, then elbowed him in the lip. Lewis got between the two men to stop the altercation and went outside with the man to smoke a cigarette and cool down. The man was also kicked out by bar staff.

While outside, Lewis said Sieracki came out of the bar with his shirt off and again confronted the man and pushed him to the ground, then punched him in the face. Lewis said he again broke up the altercation and took the man to his car, but a few minutes later he heard someone yell to look out and he, his girlfriend and Sieracki were all hit by the man’s car.

A bar employee then came out and began to say something to Lewis’ girlfriend, which made him upset, so he punched the man in the face. Police were called to the scene and broke up the fight.

The driver told officers he drank too much and didn’t remember most of the incident, but did remember he became upset about missing money. He said he wasn’t sure who hit him, but he suffered a broken orbital bone, headache, sore face and loose teeth.

Potential charges are

Lewis admitted to his role in the incident and when told by officers he was being charged with substantial battery for hitting the bar employee, he said “you got me there.”

The bar employee, who suffered a chipped tooth in the incident, said he went outside to check on the men after the older man was kicked out of the bar for elbowing Sieracki, but said Lewis was punching the man after he was seated in his car.

Sieracki is currently free on a $1,500 signature bond while Lewis is being held in Waukesha County Jail on $500 bond while awaiting trial.
