An undercover police officer was working Monday near North 80th Street and Hampton Avenue when he spotted Blatt and Zacharias sitting in a car that was approached by an SUV. The driver of the SUV got out and talked to Blatt, then shortly afterward a blue truck drove up and the driver of the SUV talked to the man in the truck who left.

The SUV and the suspects then drove over to North 79th Street and Courtland Avenue where he got out again and handed a package to Blatt at his car. They then drove off, but the officer followed Blatt and Zacharias until they parked at a business near North 76th Street and Capitol Drive.

Blatt got out of the car and was walking towards the business when the officer approached him and asked if there was anything illegal in the car. Blatt said “yes” and the officer spotted a plastic bag on the dash of the car with seven bindles of heroin inside.

The officer searched the car and found two heroin kits sitting on the floor of the car.

Both are currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail while awaiting their initial appearance.
