Trial Date Set In Drug Overdose Homicide Case

Former Waukesha resident Ian Michael Jeske will stand trial in March for selling pills to a Pewaukee man who later overdosed and died.

A former Waukesha resident facing homicide charges under the state’s Len Bias law, will stand trial in March for his role in the death of a Pewaukee man.

Ian Michael Jeske, 27, is scheduled to stand trial March 13 for allegedly selling a prescription pill that led to the overdose death of David A. Gapinski. The date was set Wednesday after Jeske appeared in Milwaukee County Circuit Court along with a final pre-trial hearing scheduled for Jan. 23.

According to the criminal complaint, Jeske sold Oxycodone to Gapinski in January after they went to a Milwaukee gas station so Jeske could get the pills from another person. He sold the pills to Gapinski and another person and made a $10 profit from the transaction.
