Town of Waukesha Man Charged with 4th OWI

Suspect told police he drank 10 Jack and Cokes before driving, according to court records.

A 67-year-old Town of Waukesha man is facing his fourth drunken charge after he was caught driving drunk in Town of Vernon Friday.

David J. Kadinger was charged in Monday with one count of fourth offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one year in Waukesha County Jail and $2,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, at 11:41 p.m. Friday, a County sheriff’s deputy spotted Kadinger doing 53 mph in a 35 mph speed zone. After asking him if he had been drinking, Kadinger told the officer he had consumed 10, 16-ounce Jack and Cokes before driving.

Kadinger failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.15 percent at the time of the incident, the complaint states. He’s free on $600 cash bail while awaiting trial.
