Complaint: Town of Waukesha Man Busted Selling Drugs

A 20-year-old Town of Waukesha man is facing charges after he allegedly sold marijuana to a police informant then stole money from an informant in another deal last week, according to a criminal complaint.

Joshua S. Ross was charged in on Monday with one count of manufacturing and delivery of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, one count of possession of an illegally obtain prescription drug, one count of theft and one count of conspiracy to manufacture and deliver THC. If convicted, he faces up to eight years in prison and $30,500 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

A police informant set up a deal with Ross on Nov. 4, where he met Ross outside a home on Bel-Ayr Drive in order to purchase $125 worth of marijuana. The deal took place and Ross told the informant he was picking up a half-pound of the drug later in the week so he was “on his game” now.

Police set up another deal with Ross on Thursday where an informant met him outside the same house. This time Ross told the informant he needed the money up front and he would go to a friend’s house in Milwaukee to pick up the drugs, and gave the informant a laptop as collateral in the deal.

However, Ross never came back, so police went to his residence later that night to arrest him.

After being arrested police found a muscle relaxer on Ross, who said a friend gave him the pill, but they were unable to find the money used in the deal earlier in the day. His father later paid the restitution at the police station.

Ross admitted to being a middle man in marijuana deals, saying he lost his job and was doing the deals several times per week.
