Town Man Charged with Buying Truck with a Bad Check
Suspect, 53, told officers he knew the check was bad when he bought the truck, according to court documents.
A Town of Waukesha man is facing charges after he allegedly purchased a truck with a bad check and refused to return it.
Leonard R. Noll, 53, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit court Monday with one count of theft valued at more than $10,000 and one count of issuance of a worthless check. If convicted, he faces up to 13 ½ years in prison and $35,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, on July 22 Noll purchased a 2001 Ford F-150 from Ultimate Rides, W226S1700 Highway 164, for $13,750. The check was returned with insufficient funds, but Noll refused to return the truck when the dealership contacted him.

Noll told police he knew the check didn’t have sufficient funds when he bought the truck, the complaint states. Noll is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $10,000 cash bond.
