Throwing Garbage Can at Beehive Not Smart Idea for Waukesha Kids

Waukesha Police Department calls from Sept. 3 through Sept. 5.

The following calls were reported to the Waukesha Police Department:

  • An arrest was made at 7:59 a.m. Tuesday after a man was yelling outside the Waukesha Public Library before it was opened. A library staff member reportedly asked the man if he was OK and the man gave the staff member a dirty look. The man had previously been screaming, swearing and smoking near the Five Points.
  • The theft of money from an unlocked truck was reported at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Magnolia Drive.
  • A man reported that he was playing online video games when another person told him “If I had your voice, I would kill myself.” Police told the man at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday that the statement did not rise to the level of harassment.
  • A group of juveniles who threw a garbage can at a beehive at a park on Fox River Parkway were warned about the danger of their actions at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
  • A man who is going through a divorce called police at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday to report that his wife had pushed him into the wall and he hit his head. However, when officers arrived, they learned he had crawled past his wife, who was doing laundry on the couch where he wanted to sleep, to sleep in her bed when he hit his head on the wall. The man called police because he wanted to go to bed.
  • A caller reported her pitbull was stolen from her apartment in the 300 block of Jackson Court. However, she did not call back police as they attempted to investigate the theft.
  • A burglary was reported at 10:48 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of East Main Street.
  • A fifth-grader reportedly left school at 11:44 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of South East Avenue upset over a playground fight. The juvenile was back at school 10 minutes later and the juvenile’s mother was advised.
  • A woman told police she “has been watching too many cop shows” after she contacted police to report that four black garbage bags were placed in her yard by an unknown person at 3:59 p.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of Saratoga Road.
  • A homeless man was laying on a bench in the 700 block of Linden Street spontaneously laughing to himself at 8:47 p.m. Wednesday.
  • A 26-year-old woman was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital after she fell off a table and her face hit the floor at 12:06 a.m. Thursday at East Broadway and Highway 164.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 1:53 a.m. Thursday at West Avenue and Sunset Drive.
