Teen Charged With Stealing Coworker's Debit Card

Suspect, 17, took the card while working at Qdoba in Delafield, the bought items at three different stores, according to criminal complaint.

A Waukesha teen is facing charges alleging he stole his coworker’s debit card then used it to buy items from stores around town.

Aaron A. Rodriguez, 17, was charged in on Wednesday with one count of theft by acquisition of a credit card and one count of fraudulent use of a credit card. If convicted, he faces up to 18 months in prison and $20,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

The victim contacted police after she said her debit card went missing while at work at Qdoba in Delafield and from Nov. 19 to 21, someone took the card and charged items at Target, Auto Zone and Walmart. Police were able to track the purchases back to Rodriguez, who told them he found the debit card while at work at Qdoba.

Rodriguez will make his initial appearance in court April 2.
