Updated: Speedway Gas Station Robbed Early Friday Morning

Waukesha gas station robbery could be linked to Subway robbery in Town of Brookfield.

Speedway Gas Station, 1600 E. Sunset Drive, was robbed early Friday morning, according to Waukesha Police Department records.

An employee at the gas station pressed the hold-up alarm at 12:52 a.m. When officers arrived on scene, they learned a man wearing a black hoodie with a mask and jeans had robbed the convenience store. The man fled from the scene before police arrived, according to the call record.

The man did not display a weapon, however, he had his hand in the waistband, the call log states.

An employee informed police that one suspect entered their store, implied that he had a weapon, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money the suspect fled. No one was injured in the incident. The scene was processed for evidence.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, average build, wearing blue jeans, black hat, black ski-mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and brown shoes.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10 p.m. an unknown subject entered the Subway Restaurant (19555 West Bluemound Roadd) in the Town of Brookfield and demanded cash.  The suspect displayed a black handgun in his waistband. The employees handed over the money from the cash drawer and the suspect fled on foot. This suspect has a similar description to the Waukesha robbery, and photos from the Town of Brookfield robbery are attached.
