Police Warn Juvenile Boys Who Were Clearing Skate Ramp of Snow

Boys tell police they were hoping the park staff would open the skate park earlier if they melted the snow.

Two juveniles who were just a little too excited for spring found themselves instead getting warned by police at 4:14 p.m. Sunday at Horeb Springs Park.

The boys were in the fenced-in area of the skate park with shovels. They were clearing off the skate park area. They told police they were hoping the skate park would open earlier if the snow was cleared and they helped the snow melt faster, according to the Waukesha Police Department call log.

The juveniles were warned to stay out of the fenced-in area until the Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department opens it in the spring.
