Police Unable To Substantiate Large Fight Call Tuesday Night

No fight, suspects or victim were located when police responded to Waukesha neighborhood.

An unsubstantiated report of a large family fight involving about 20 people lead to a large police response shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of South Grand Avenue but when police responded, there was nothing found in the neighborhood.

A woman, who called the fight in to police, reported to authorities a gun was displayed during the fight and that it may have been fired, according to the Waukesha police log. That was unable to be substantiated by police, Lt. Ron Oremus said.

When police arrived, there was no active fight, nothing was located and no victims or suspects were located, Oremus said. Police were given consent to search an apartment on Dodie Drive but did not locate anything.
