Update: Police Arrest Man Following Waukesha Incident

Waukesha Police Department surrounded residential neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

Update: A man has been taken into custody following an incident at a Waukesha residence in the 100 block of Cecilia Court, according to Capt. Dennis Angle.

Officers were called to respond to the residence after a 9-1-1 call was placed to dispatch and heard what sounded like a physical altercation inside the home. Officers waited for backup and then forced entrance into the residence, Angle said.

The man was arrested on obstructing an officer. The incident remains under investigation as to what occurred with the physical altercation that police heard, Angle said.

Earlier: The Waukesha Police Department has surrounded a neighborhood shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday near Moreland Boulevard and Madison Street.

Capt. Dennis Angle said authorities are looking for suspects in a battery case who fled from police.

The Waukesha Fire Department also is on scene. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department's K-9 Unit was involved in the incident.
