Police Report: Woman Shoplifts While Applying for Job; Taggers Caught

Waukesha Police Department calls from June 6 and June 7.

Two juveniles that had already tagged Hawthorne Elementary School and Mack’s Custard found themselves in trouble late Monday, according to the Waukesha Police Department’s call log.

A male was taken into custody after the two ran from officers at Horeb Spring Park at 10:30 p.m. Monday. The two juveniles had been carrying backpacks.

  • A person who tried to drive off without paying for gas threatened to run over other patrons at the gas station because they tried to block her in at 2:33 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • A woman was arrested for retail theft at 5:02 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A woman reportedly shoplifted from a store while turning in a job application at 6:32 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of West Sunset Drive. The woman returned the items and was warned to not return to the store.
  • A theft from a storage unit was reported at 6:54 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of John Street.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 10:07 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Michigan Avenue.
  • Two people who were found by police pushing a vacuum cleaner that previously was placed on the curb for garbage admitted they used pipes on their possession to smoke a synthetic marijuana at 12:06 a.m. Tuesday at Madison and Delafield streets. No report was filed.
  • Graffiti in a bathroom stall was reported at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of South West Avenue.
  • A woman was arrested on a warrant at 1:09 a.m. Tuesday after contacting police to remove another person from a residence in the 700 block of John Street.
