Police Report: Truancy; Burglary; Skipping AA Meeting?

Waukesha Police Department calls from Feb. 7 and Feb. 8.

The following information was supplied by the  Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

  • Vehicles were spraypainted in the 2100 block and 1800 block of Kensington Drive. The incidents were reported at 8:42 a.m. and 8:53 a.m. Tuesday.
  • A person was arrested at 10:19 a.m. Tuesday for a narcotics violation at Waukesha South High School.
  • A person was released from jail and returned to his residence to find it burglarized and trashed at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of White Rock Avenue. The apartment had extensive damage.
  • A vehicle was broken into over the weekend and reported at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Sheffield Road.
  • Three juveniles were found truant in the 100 block of East Sunset Drive at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday and were turned over to the school resource officer at Waukesha South High School.
  • A theft of 655 pounds of copper was reported at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of Badger Drive.
  • Two arrests were made during a traffic stop at 2:08 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of Silvernail Road.
  • A theft of a cat was reported at 3:31 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Oakdale Drive. It was actually a civil matter after a relationship ended in a break up.
  • A caller in the 200 block of West Newhall Avenue turned over a newer pair of hiking boots that were found in a bush at 3:33 p.m. Tuesday.
  • A person was detained on a warrant at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Phoenix Drive.
  • A man was sitting in a vehicle making strange noises at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Sunkist Avenue. The man was highly intoxicated and sleeping in the vehicle but police were unable to determine if he had been driving drunk. Police escorted him home to his wife. The wife told police the man was supposed to have been at his Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
  • Four Carroll University students who were walking in the road at Maple and West College avenues at 1:44 a.m. Wednesday were warned.
  • A woman, who was homeless, was taken to Super 8 after it was reported that she was asked to leave Waukesha Memorial Hospital several times at 3:56 a.m. Wednesday.
