Police Report: Threatening the Wrong Number; Stealing Electricity

Waukesha Police Department calls from July 22 and July 23.

The following calls were reported to the Waukesha Police Department:

  • A person was arrested after the theft of electricity was reported at 8:43 a.m. Friday in the 1900 block of Bonnie Lane.
  • A person apparently got the wrong number when he threatened via text message to kill an entire family at 1:02 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Oakdale Drive. Police made contact with the man who told them he was looking for a man and didn’t know why he had made the threats before hanging up on police.
  • An arrest was made after a retail theft was reported at 1:40 p.m. Friday at Walmart.
  • An arrest was made after a retail theft was reported at 2:53 p.m. Friday at Walmart. It was also reported that two individuals were attempting to free the suspect who was in the manager’s office.
  • A burglary was reported at 5:05 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of South Grand Avene.
  • The theft of golf clubs was reported during a garage burglary at 6:11 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Summit Avenue.
  • A kid reportedly was skateboarding while being pulled from a pick up truck at 9 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Lynne Drive. The boarder and driver were warned and their parents were contacted.
  • An intoxicated man reportedly was soliciting a 15-year-old girl at 10:17 p.m. Friday at Fairview and Dopp Street before continuing toward a bar. The man reportedly told the girl’s parent he would take the girl to Mexico where age doesn’t matter. Police were unable to locate the man.
  • The theft of a bike was reported at 11:05 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of Macarthur Road.
  • A man was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 12:39 a.m. Saturday at the Five Points.
  • The Waukesha Police Department was asked to help respond to a traffic stop after a Waukesha County Sheriff’s Deputy clocked a motorcycle traveling 100 mph on Interstate-94 at 1:11 a.m. Saturday. The traffic stop ultimately was conducted by the Town of Brookfield Police Department.
