Police Report: Theft; Fireworks; Slumber Parties; Fights

  • The theft of checks was reported at 7:15 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Birch Drive.
  • A woman who was desperate for money and thought it was OK to take aluminum from recycling bins was advised at 7:52 a.m. Friday that stealing recycling is illegal.
  • An intoxicated woman was cited at 8:46 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of South Grand Avenue for loud noise as she had been warned three times prior.
  • A person was arrested at 11:18 a.m. Friday following a reported drug deal in the 200 block of Cutler Drive.
  • A woman reported to police at 2:01 p.m. Friday that she wanted a crowbar that she had given to her neighbor three years ago. She also reported fears that the neighbor was spying on her in the 2300 block of Avalon Drive. Police did not make contact with the neighbor as the woman’s story changed.
  • An object was thrown from one car and it hit and damaged another car at 4:58 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 5:13 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Motor Avenue.
  • A car hit a tree at 5:38 p.m. Friday at North Hine and Summit avenues.
  • Rocks were thrown at a car at 5:48 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of Highway 59.
  • A theft of a dog was reported t 6:34 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of South Grand Avenue.
  • Police responded to Goodwill at 6:52 p.m. Friday to pick up guns and ammunition that had been donated in the last few weeks.
  • A man wearing a suit reportedly attacked another person with a glass bottle at 11:16 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of West Broadway.
  • It was reported at 11:48 p.m. Friday that a teen was allowed to have a sleepover in the 400 block of Lake Street. But when the mother returned from the movie theater, she found items that were missing and damaged and teens over that were not supposed to be there. The girl was already sleeping with the friends she was allowed to have overnight. It was learned the teens that were there were not there at the request of the girl and the mother made them leave.
  • An arrest was made during a traffic stop at 11:58 p.m. Friday at Perkins Avenue and East Main Street.
  • A person was cited for underage drinking at 12:17 a.m. Saturday after he was found extremely intoxicated and unaware of where he was in the 200 block of Park Place.
  • A man was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Saturday after it was reported he was starting fights in the 2400 block of North Grandview Boulevard.
  • A person was arrested after a fight was reported at 2:32 a.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Friedman Drive.
  • People will be cited via mail after fireworks went off at 2:43 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Main Street.
  • A person was arrested at 4:11 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Cook Street.
  • A truck hit a deer at 4:25 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Pewaukee Road.
