Police Report: Taxi Cab Disturbance; Hyperactive Boy; One Powerful GPS

  • An iPod and accessories were stolen from a vehicle at 8:54 a.m. Monday in the 2400 block of Springdale Road.
  • A 4-year-old hyperactive boy escaped from a babysitter at 11:43 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of Harrison Avenue. Police were called when another person had located the boy but by the time police arrived, the babysitter was with that person looking for the child.
  • A man reported at 12:37 p.m. Monday that he believed his neighbor in the 1500 block of Cherrywood Drive was talking to him through her GPS unit.
  • Two extremely intoxicated men were reportedly falling down while walking in the 1000 block of North Hartwell Avenue at 12:52 p.m. Monday. The men were gone upon police arrival.
  • A counterfeit $20 bill was found at 1:32 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of West Sunset Drive.
  • A person was arrested at 3:33 p.m. Monday in the 2800 block of North University Drive after it was reported the person was trying to fight, was yelling and screaming and threatened to stab a person. The incident happened at an assisted living facility.
  • Police spoke at great length with a juvenile and her family about parental rules after the juvenile reportedly hit a parent and took off at 4:21 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Downing Drive. The parent was uninjured and had no complaint.
  • A credit card fraud incident was reported at 4:42 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Oxford Road.
  • A theft of a credit card was reported at 6:35 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Madison Street.
  • A theft of a washer and dryer was reported at 7:56 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Joellen Drive.
  • A juvenile reportedly came home intoxicated in the 400 block of West College Avenue at 8:07 p.m. Monday. Officers responded to check welfare after the mom called 9-1-1, asked for officers and then backtracked.
  • A person was arrested after a suspicious person was reported at 9:03 p.m. Monday at Industrial Lane and West Sunset Drive.
  • A man turned himself into the police department on two warrants at 10:21 p.m. Monday.
  • A person was advised after a noise complaint was made at 10:28 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Broadway.
  • A woman was reportedly being belligerent and throwing items at a taxi cab driver at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Charles Street.
