Police Report: Suspicious Man Wearing Clergy Robe; Fireworks

Waukesha Police Department calls from Oct. 12 and Oct. 13.

  • A theft of a bike was reported at 8:6 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Delafield Street.
  • Two women reportedly got in a fight at 9:38 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of White Rock Avenue.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at Waukesha West High School at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday.
  • A woman started CPR after finding a man who was unconscious and not breathing because of a suicide attempt at 10:53 a.m. Wednesday. The man regained consciousness and was breathing, so he was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
  • A theft by fraud case was reported at 11:29 a.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of Kossow Road.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop after police believed the vehicle was possible involved in the theft of scrap metal at 12:24 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A person was arrested at 12:41 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Grant Street.
  • Police were notified that drivers were not stopping for children in a crosswalk at 2:39 p.m. Wednesday at Walton and West College avenues. Police responded and did not observe any pedestrian traffic.
  • A fight was reported at 2:46 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Macarthur Court. The victim declined an ambulance and also chose to not press charges.
  • A group of juveniles were reportedly shooting off fireworks at 3:57 p.m. Wednesday at Garfield and Douglass avenues. Police made contact with a group of juveniles, who told them a group of men who were walking near the area had shot off the fireworks. All the kids denied shooting the fireworks.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday at the Waukesha Police Department.
  • A 5-year-old boy was caught peeing on a tree in a front lawn at 5:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Madison Street. The parents were advised.
  • People were asked to leave a property at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of North Moreland Boulevard. One of the subjects reportedly responded “this is war.”
  • A vehicle was reported to be damaged at 9:03 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Scott Avenue.
  • Carroll University security requested police assistance as they believed some students were smoking marijuana near a playground at 9:51 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South Charles Street. Police responded, did not find any drug contraband and did not smell marijuana. The students had been smoking cigarettes. The students were advised against smoking on the playground and were told to pick up their cigarette butts.
  • Two juveniles were reportedly fighting and making noise at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of Navajo Lane.
  • A caller reportedly was cleaning a hallway in the 400 block of North East Avenue when a man walked up to the caller, asked the caller to buy pills from him and when the caller said no, the man threw a stone and walked away at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday.
  • A man was reportedly threatening to slash a person’s tires because she owed him money at 10:31 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Wood Street. The man told police the caller owes him $60, the caller said she did not. The two were advised and the man agreed to leave for the evening.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 11:34 p.m. Wednesday at North Grand and North Wisconsin avenues.
  • A diabetic man walked away from an argument with his wife at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of South West Avenue. But because of his medical condition, the man needed help to get home and the wife picked him up.
  • People were warned after a loud party was reported at 1:04 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Glenwood Drive.
  • Police made contact with a couple who had been in a disagreement at 1:08 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Drive and West Avenue. The man had reportedly grabbed the woman around the waist and took her into a car. When police made contact with the couple, the woman said she was mad at the man because he did not eat his food fast enough at Denny’s. The man pulled up next to her and took her into the car because he did not want her to walk that late at night. Both were advised.
  • It was reported that two 18-year-old subjects were possibly smoking marijuana on a porch based on the way they were holding their joints at 1:09 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of  Madison Street. Police were unable to make contact with the homeowner and observed nothing suspicious.
  • Two people were advised at 1:24 am. Thursday that they could not bow hunt for fish in the Fox River at North West and Wisconsin avenues.
  • A man who was wearing a clergy-type robe was reported to be staring inside a window at 6:20 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Fleetfoot Drive. The man was gone when police were called, but the caller said he was on the sidewalk about 50 feet from the residence. It was unknown if the man was wal
