Police Report: Suspicious Man Running in Underwear at Bus Stop; Graffiti

Waukesha Police Department call logs from May 17 and May 18.

Extra police patrols were requested at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodburn Road and Willowood Drive for a suspicious man who does not have children yet talks to children at the bus stop, according to the police call log.

The man told children to come to his house, pet his cat and he would read to them, a caller told police. The man reportedly became in a screaming match with a parent. The man also was reported to have come to the bus stop wearing only his underwear and no shoes while walking his dog, the call log states.

A caller informed police the man may be a war veteran who has mental health issues, according to the call log.

  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 12:21 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of South West Avenue.
  • A woman was arrested after reportedly resisting after a theft at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • An extremely intoxicated man who was laying in a bus shelter was transported at 12:52 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of North East Avenue. The man was cited for open intoxicants and was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for an emergency alcohol detention.
  • A man was arrested on a warrant at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of Pewaukee Road.
  • A person was arrested after an accident was reported at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday at Madison and Delafield streets.
  • A juvenile’s foster father was advised after the juvenile called 9-1-1 because the younger sibling had called the juvenile names at 4:14 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Oaklawn Avenue.
  • A woman brought her juvenile son to the police department after finding a marijuana pipe in her house at 4:53 p.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Sussex Lane.
  • Twenty women were reportedly fighting in an alley at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of South Grand Avenue, but there was nothing found when police arrived.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after an erratic driver was reported at 8:42 p.m. Tuesday at East Moreland Boulevard and East Main Street.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 12:43 a.m. Wednesday during a traffic stop at 12:43 a.m. Wednesday near South Prairie Avenue and West Sunset Drive.
  • Police warned an extremely intoxicated man who had been passed out at 3:53 a.m. Wednesday about loitering in the 400 block of Madison Street. The man had refused medical attention and police moved him along.
  • A graffiti incident was reported at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of West Newhall Avenue.
