Police Report: Stolen Statues; Not the Right Music?

Waukesha Police Department calls from June 25 and June 26.

If you like music – beware.

Your neighbor may not like the exact style of music and call the police on you early in the afternoon for a loud noise complaint. That’s what one Waukesha resident learned Saturday.

A person called the police department about a noise complaint at 12:45 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West Wabash Avenue. Police made contact and observed that the music was not loud or unreasonable. The person playing the music told police the neighbor did not like the style of music – Mexican music.

In other Waukesha Police Department calls:

  • The theft of a statue of a boy was reported at 10:05 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Main Street.
  • The theft of a statue from a yard was reported at 11:56 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Darlene Drive.
  • Police moved along a very intoxicated person who was laying in the grass in Frame Park at 12:10 p.m. Saturday.
  • Police made contact with a woman after a 911 hang up call at 3:57 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Williams Street. The woman reportedly told police she was at a bar when her landlord came in and made a statement about her having money to drink and smoke but to not pay the rent. The landlord verified that the statement was made and that the landlord has served the woman with a small claim suit seeking two months of rent.
  • A car reportedly was keyed at 11:13 p.m. Saturday at White Rock and North Hartwell avenues.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after it was reported that they were driving recklessly at 12:05 a.m. Sunday at East Main Street and Highway 164.
  • A possible underage alcohol party involving college students was reported at 12:24 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Maple Avenue. Police were unable to make contact with the occupants of the home. Police learned about the party from someone who saw it on Facebook.
  • Children reportedly were being loud and running through their yard and a neighbor’s yard during a birthday party at 12:50 a.m. Sunday at Atlantic and Cardinal drives. Police warned the parents. The final note on the call log states the children then planned to make s’mores and go to bed.
  • A Waukesha police officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Madison Street to assist a Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department deputy take a person into custody for intoxicated driving at 1:20 a.m. Sunday. The driver’s vehicle previously was in a ditch at Macarthur Road and Burrie Lane.
  • An arrest was made after a noise complaint was reported at 2:17 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Madison Street.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 2:19 a.m. Sunday at Oakland Avenue and East Main Street.
  • A caller reported being punched several times at 3:08 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West Main Street. The battery, which appeared to be unprovoked, was caught on camera. Police questioned in the call log if the incident was related to a gang initiation. The caller refused medical attention.
