Police Report: Stolen Potato Chips; Talking to Cat; DJing Cops?

Waukesha Police Department calls from June 30 and July 1.

Police officers are defender, protectors, enforcers and, apparently, DJs for at least one Waukesha man.

A man was cited for a loud noise violation at 11:20 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Beechwood Avenue after it was reported that officers were just at the residence for a noise complaint and the man turned the music back up.

When police returned, he was informed his music was excessive. The man became very argumentative and raised his voice when officers asked him to turn the volume down. Windows were all open and he said he would only shut one of them. Officers did turn down the music for him. He was advised if he turned it up again he would be receiving another citation. The man was highly intoxicated and drinking Steel Reserve with his pain medication, according to the Waukesha Police Department call log.
