Police Report: Stealing Chocolate; Recall Walker Dispute; Juvenile Trouble

  • A homeless man was warned for sleeping by dumpsters at 6:54 a.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Golf Road.
  • An autistic student took off from Waukesha North High School at 10:49 a.m. Monday but the student was found.
  • A theft of a 2009 car was reported at 12:04 p.m. Monday from a dealership in the 1400 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A man reportedly yelled that he was going to get his concealed weapon and “shoot your brains out” at people who were signing recall Gov. Scott Walker petitions at 12:06 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of East Broadway. The man left the area.
  • An arrest was made during a juvenile trouble incident at 12:51 p.m. Monday at Waukesha South High School.
  • A person was arrested at 2:42 p.m. Monday for retail theft in the 200 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • A 13-year-old child was taken into custody at 3:08 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Linden Street after it was reported the child had been in a fight earlier that day. The juvenile had been on a deferred prosecution agreement in the court system.
  • A man was arrested at 3:19 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of West Wabash Avenue after it was reported he was fighting in the 200 block of West Wabash Avenue.
  • A credit card incident was reported at 4:02 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • The theft of a garbage cart was reported at 5:11 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Sylvan Terrace.
  • A person was arrested after refusing to take a breathalyzer test at 5:23 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Madison Street. The man had been dropped off at the shelter by the Brookfield Police Department.
  • A person reported at 6:40 p.m. Monday that someone stole his license plates in the 1600 block of Legend Avenue from the recycling. The theft was discovered after the person received parking citations in Chicago for a vehicle that the person did not own.
  • A man was reportedly prowling at 8:53 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Elder Street. The man’s description included facial hair, possibly a shaved head, stocky build and wearing a maroon sweatshirt. The man was gone before arrival.
  • A 14-year-old boy decided he wasn’t going to school anymore at 9:14 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of West College Avenue. The mother was given options by police.
  • Police were asked to investigate a possible narcotics violation in the 100 block of South East Avenue but ultimately the incident was handled by the school at 11:23 p.m. Monday. Later the residential assistant wanted to file a complaint for being knocked down.
  • A store employee reported at 11:59 p.m. Monday that a person who attempted to steal chocolate had returned to the store in the 400 block of Summit Avenue. The person was gone before police arrived.
