Police Report: Stealing Candy; Polite Graffiti

Waukesha Police Department calls from March 7 and March 8.

The following information was supplied by the Waukesha Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

  • A juvenile was cited at 8:34 a.m. Wednesday at Waukesha West High School.
  • An obstructing an officer incident was reported at 8:37 a.m. Wednesday at the Waukesha Police Department.
  • A juvenile was cited at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday at Waukesha West High School.
  • A juvenile was cited at 9:01 a.m. Wednesday at Waukesha West High School.
  • A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:02 a.m. Wednesday at Mulberry and Minor lanes. Police made contact with the occupant, who was a crossing guard listening to a radio program before going home from work.
  • A person was arrested after it was reported that a drunk man was laying down in a back yard at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 2900 block of Madison Street.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday at Waukesha South High School.
  • Children reportedly threw rocks at a windshield at 9:43 a.m. Wednesday while a parent was dropping of kids in the 1100 block of White Rock Avenue.
  • Graffiti was reported on the clock tower at 9:52 a.m. Wednesday in the 900  block of Clinton Street.
  • A woman reported at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday that someone is coming into her home, eating candy and spraying a faucet in the residence in the 100 block of Walton Avenue. The woman also said a man, a woman and a boy sit in her chairs and that the woman talks to her. Police advised the woman to call police when she sees people in her house.
  • Two people were cited for truancy and turned over to school at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday at Lynne and Wedgewood drives.
  • A person was arrested after it was reported at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday that a man needed to be removed from a store in the 800 block of Clinton Street.
  • An arrest was made at 4:41 p.m. Wednesday after a woman reported that another woman had slapped and choked her.
  • A caller reported at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday that five juveniles were on the roof at the former Spancrete facility. Police checked the area out and saw no signs of anyone on the roof.
  • A man was reportedly punched in the face at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of East Main Street.
  • A man was reportedly begging for money at a church in the 800 block of North East Avenue at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday. The man was refusing to leave and wanted the money to go back to Mexico.
  • A couple was arguing at 8:06 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Rivera Drive because the man went into Milwaukee for a hair cut but the woman thought he had gone into Milwaukee to purchase cocaine. The woman had put a GPS tracker on the man’s cell phone. They were advised.
  • A man was arrested on warrants for loitering and open intoxicants after checking into the seasonal homeless shelter at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of Northview Road.
  • A person was warned about fake weapons and discharging weapons in the city limits and his BB gun was confiscated after it was reported the person was possibly damaging items at a park at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of West Dunbar Avenue. None of the park equipment was damaged.
  • A person was arrested after a battery was reported at 1:14 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of White Rock Avenue.
  • Graffiti that read “have a nice day” was found at 2:44 a.m. Thursday in the South Street parking ramp.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop at 3 a.m. Thursday at East Broadway and Oakland Avenue.
  • A dumpster fire was extinguished by the fire department at 4:24 a.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of South Prairie Avenue.
  • Police moved along a person who was in the shelter at Horeb Spring Park at 5:23 a.m. Thursday.
