Police Report: Steak Knife in Mailbox; Spraying Cooking Oil

Waukesha Police Department calls from Aug. 12 and Aug. 13.

A caller reported at 6:07 a.m. Friday that she found a steak knife in her mailbox in the 1500 block of White Rock Avenue. The caller was concerned because of a complaint she made to the landlord over a parking issue with a neighbor.

In other calls:

  • An arrest was made after dispatch heard a domestic disturbance during a 9-1-1 hang up call at 6:23 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of East Main Street.
  • A woman reported she believed someone was tapping her phone line and hacking into her records at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at 7:16 a.m. Friday in the 2400 block of Willowood Drive. The woman was told by police to address the issue of personal records with ProHealth Care.
  • A theft was reported at 1:20 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Park Avenue.
  • A woman reported that an unknown person had broken into her safe and was stealing her medications at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the 2800 block of North University Drive. It was advised to police that relatives may have been involved.
  • A woman was arrested on a warrant after telling someone at the Hope Center she wanted to rectify the warrant at 1:52 p.m. Friday.
  • A theft of a package was reported at 2:02 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of Shepherd Court.
  • A woman was advised after an anonymous caller reported at 2:04 p.m. Friday a woman was spraying cooking oil on a sign because the woman was “evil” and putting children who swing on the sign in danger in the 500 block of Glenwood Drive.
  • A person reported to police that they were concerned that a neighbor had a video camera on the property that included a shot of the person’s driveway at 4:40 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of East Main Street. Police determined there was no violation.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 5:14 p.m. Friday in the 3400 block of Summit Avenue.
  • A car accident with injuries was reported at 5:16 p.m. Friday at Highway 59 and East Sunset Drive.
  • A person was taken into custody after it was reported that a teen was fighting with his parents at 8:56 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A domestic disturbance was reported at 9 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Tenny Avenue.
  • A man reportedly asked two children if they wanted candy at 9:10 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Bidwell Avenue. The man was gone before police arrived and the caller was asked to call police again if the man returned.
  • A man reportedly stole “herbal incenses” at 9:14 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of North Grand Avenue. The owner told police he knew the suspect and would handle it himself.
  • A person who was found in the 1900 block of Madison Street because the person was watching the storm was moved along at 12:17 a.m. Saturday.
  • Multiple arrests were made after a fight was reported at 1:01 a.m. Saturday at Country Springs Hotel.
