Police Report: Speeders; Slide Destroyed at School; Car Accident

Waukesha Police Department calls from May 2 and May 3.

The following calls were made to the Waukesha Police Department:

  • A person was cited for suspended registration at 8:26 a.m Monday during a traffic stop.
  • A rollover car accident was reported at 8:44 a.m. Monday at North Greenfield and East Racine avenues. The intersections were reportedly blocked for several hours.
  • A person was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign at 9:04 a.m. Monday at South Grandview Boulevard and Howard Street.
  • A person was cited for traveling 12 miles per hour above the posted speed limit at 10:33 a.m. Monday at Spring and Delafield streets.
  • A person was cited for suspended registration at 10:55 a.m. Monday during a traffic stop at Summit Avenue and Sylvan Terrace.
  • A slide was destroyed by children throwing rocks at it at Hawthorne Elementary School. The incident was noted at 11:05 a.m. Monday but the school had not filed a formal complaint as of 4:53 p.m. Monday.
  • A 53-year-old man was arrested after it was reported he was intoxicated and threatening his mother at 11:09 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of East Main Street.
  • A person was cited for traveling 12 miles per hour above the posted speed limit at 11:35 a.m. Monday at North West Barstow Street and Buena Vista Avenue.
  • A person was cited for going 14 miles per hour above the speed limit and for a seatbelt violation at 12:03 p.m. Monday at Hyde Park and Summit avenues.
  • A person was cited for a tobacco violation at Waukesha North High School at 12:45 p.m. Monday.
  • A man was arrested for violating a bail condition that prohibited him from being within 300 feet of the Hope Center at 2:44 p.m. Monday.
  • A person reported receiving a threatening phone call at 8:12 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Lambeth Road. The person was threatened with arrested unless the person brought $5,000 to the courthouse. Waukesha police advised the man to contact police if further calls were made.
  • A person was arrested for an absolute sobriety violation at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday during a traffic stop at Wisconsin and North East avenues.
