Police Report: Roommate Locks Man out of Apartment, Lots of Snow-Related Calls

Waukesha Police Department report from Feb. 1 to Feb. 3

Police advised a man about his options for finding new housing after his roommate wouldn't let him into the apartment after he forgot his key early Thursday morning.

The man reported his roommate would not let him into the residence at 2:23 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Summit Avenue. Police made contact with the roommate, who said she did not like it when the man goes out to drink and comes home late at night. She told police she wasn’t going to let the man in because he forgot his key. The man had not been drinking and was allowed in the apartment.

  • A man was arrested after it was reported he was yelling and walking around a house at 7:36 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Baxter Street.

  • A squad car that was stopped at a red traffic light had the back of the car tapped by another car at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kossow and Bluemound roads.  The woman said her foot slipped off the brake. There was no damage reported.
  • The theft of food that was delivered in the back of  a restaurant was reported at 1:47 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of West Main Street.
  • Multiple parking tickets were issued at 2:05 p.m. Tuesday at Sheffield Road and East Racine Avenue.
  • A car accident was reported at 2:51 p.m. Tuesday at Tosa Trail and Paramount Drive.
  • A car spun into a ditch at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday in the 3300 block of Saylesville Road.
  • An accident was reported at 5:06 p.m. Tuesday at Silvernail Road and North Grandview Boulevard.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant during a call about a domestic violence complaint at 9:52 p.m. Tuesday. The domestic violence call was unfounded.
  • A man was arrested after it was reported that he was trying to pick fights at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West Broadway.
  • A woman, who was not dressed for the weather, was reported to be walking and running while carrying a backpack in the blizzard at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of North Hartwell Avenue.
  • A possible gas leak was handled by the fire department at 7:28 a.m. Wednesday. Police were flagged down about the issue in the 400 block of Scott Avenue.
  • A vehicle was towed at 8:59 a.m. Wednesday because it was parked on the street and the plows could not get through at Oakdale and School drives. Police attempted to call the vehicle’s owner before the vehicle was towed. A parking ticket also was issued.
  • The owner of a vehicle was advised at 4:26 p.m. Wednesday after the Waukesha Fire Department reported the vehicle did not yield to an emergency vehicle that was responding to a call at Madison Street and Merrill Hills Road.
  • A parking ticket was issued at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Hinman Avenue after it was reported that people were digging out cars and throwing snow on the street, making it difficult to drive through the street.
  • A woman reported her neighbor was throwing snow into the street while trying to get his car out at 6:09 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Madison Street. The woman told police she asked him to not throw the snow, so he swore at her and threw a shovel at her. Police were unable to make contact with the man and the woman did not file a complaint against the man.
  • A man was advised after it was reported he left a 3-year-old alone at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of Pebble Valley Road. The man told police he left the sleeping child for 10 minutes to pick up someone in Pewaukee. The child was fine.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday at 812 N. East Ave.
  • A plow hit cars that were parked at 9:56 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North East Avenue.
  • A woman reported her ex-boyfriend called her, saying he would kill her current boyfriend at 10:57 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South East Avenue. Police made contact with the former boyfriend, who said he had no intent of hurting the current boyfriend but wanted to make his ex-girlfriend mad. Police advised the man to not contact the current boyfriend.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 11:51 p.m. Wednesday at Spring and Delafield streets.
  • A person was cited for a traffic violation and an underage alcohol violation at 12:44 a.m. Thursday during a traffic stop at National Avenue and Genesee Street. The mother was called to the scene.
