Police Report: Property Damaged; Stolen Backpacks

  • A homeless man who was sleeping in a back yard at 9:54 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of White Rock Avenue was advised to not return or he would be arrested for trespassing.
  • Five lockers were broken into and backpacks were stolen at 10:13 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of West Moreland Boulevard.
  • Furnace vents were reportedly torn off a house at 10:23 a.m. Sunday in the 900 bock of River Park Drive.
  • People were warned after they fell a tree into the roadway at 1:46 p.m. Sunday at Summit Avenue and North University Drive. The people were cleaning up the mess.
  • A man reportedly was urinating at 3:31 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Park. The man was gone before police arrival.
  • A person reported that his landscape lights were broken and stolen at 4:43 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of River Park Drive.
  • A hit and run accident possibly involving a stolen vehicle was reported at 6:22 p.m. Sunday at Ellsworth Place and South Grand Avenue.
  • A woman reported receiving harassing text messages at 7 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Cambridge Avenue.
  • An arrest was made after police were asked to escort an intoxicated man from a residence at 7:28 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Fleetfoot Drive.
  • A person’s vehicle had its tires slashed and the vehicle was keyed at 7:44 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North East Avenue.
  • A 15-year-old girl was arrested after it was reported at 9:06 p.m. Sunday that she had broken out of shelter car in the 1200 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A woman who was dealing with her children while driving was warned about her driving at 9:53 p.m. Sunday after a possible drunken driver was reported at Hoover and South Grand avenues. The woman was not intoxicated.
  • A battery was reported at 11:47 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Falls Court.
  • A woman was warned about trespassing to the residence of her child’s father at 1:57 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Blackhawk Trail.
