Police Report: Playing with Dead Possum; Drunk at Library

  • A theft of an iPod was reported at 8:24 a.m. Thursday at Waukesha North High School.
  • An attempted theft of an air conditioner unit was reported at 8:46 a.m. Thursday in the100 block of Arcadian Avenue. The incident caused damaged.
  • A man was banned from the Waukesha Public Library for a month after it was reported at 10:04 a.m. Thursday that he had made lewd remarks to women at the library.
  • A person was arrested after it was reported a man had yelled at a woman, threw her against the wall and choked her at 11:31 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Arlington Street.
  • Children were reportedly playing with a dead possum in the road at 3:42 p.m. Thursday at Ellis Street and North Greenfield Avenue. The children were gone before arrival.
  • An out-of-control juvenile was arrested at 5 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Scott Avenue.
  • An attempted theft of a package was reported at 7:22 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Motor Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 9:14 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West Newhall Avenue.
  • An arrest was made after a theft in progress was reported at 10:12 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Progress Avenue.
  • A theft was reported at 11:03 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of East Sunset Drive.
  • Two arrests were made during a traffic stop at 12:01 a.m. Friday in the 2300 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • A man was warned after a woman reported that the man, who is her neighbor, was peeking in her window at 12:28 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Charles Street. The man denied peering in the window.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 1:13 a.m. Friday during a high-risk traffic stop in the 600 block of Progress Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving and another arrest was made after a vehicle led police on a chase at 2:35 a.m. Friday at East Sunset Drive and Highway 164.
  • A sign was reportedly damaged at 2:39 a.m. Friday at Woodburn and Pebble Valley roads.
  • A person was escorted from Walgreens, 221 E. Sunset Drive, after a retail theft was reported at 4:07 a.m. Friday.
  • A theft was reported at 5:12 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Lambeth Road.
  • A person wearing a poofy jacket was reportedly looking into windows at 6:09 a.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Oakdale Drive.
