Police Report: Pets Create Burglary Scare, Harassing Text Messages Sent to 9-Year-Old

Waukesha Police Department calls from March 13 and March 14

A burglary call that prompted four squad cars to respond at 10:52 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Madison Street turned out to be a false alarm. The caller reported hearing someone messing with the TV and other items in the basement. Police responded, searched the house and determined the caller heard the pets.

In other Waukesha Police Department calls:

  • A woman was advised to stop sending text messages to a 9-year-old’s phone at 1:53 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of Bonnie Lane. The woman was thought she was sending the messages to the child’s babysitter.
  • A person was arrested after an altercation over a child custody issue was reported at 4:04 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of South Prairie Avenue.
  • The theft of towels and linens were reported from a hotel at 6:18 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of West Main Street.
  • Police responded to residence at 8:19 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of South Grandview Boulevard to assist with an uncontrollable juvenile.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 12:08 a.m. Monday at the homeless shelter at 1721 Northview Road.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after it was reported the person drove a vehicle up onto a sidewalk and stumbled into a store at 12:12 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Broadway.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant after it was reported a vehicle was playing loud music at 3:21 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Kilps Court West.
