Police Report: OWIs, Fights and the Theft of Recyclables

Waukesha Police Department calls from March 17 and March 18

A man was warned after it was reported the man was stealing cans from recycling bins at 7:15 a.m. Thursday at Hawthorne Circle and West Moreland Boulevard.

The man was advised after an alderman alerted police to the man’s activity.

  • A juvenile was warned after the juvenile appeared to be smoking at 9:16 a.m. Thursday at Michigan Avenue and North Grandview Boulevard.
  • A car hit another car that was parked at 11:05 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Dodie Drive.
  • An intoxicated man was advised and moved along after it was reported he walked into a pole and fell down at 5:24 p.m. Thursday.
  • Police responded to the 200 block of Madison Street after an extremely intoxicated man called at 7:24 p.m.Β  Thursday that he was drunk and did not want to drive home. Police searched the area but could not locate the man.
  • A person was arrested after police tested for a possible drunken driving offense at 7:58 p.m. Thursday at South Prairie Avenue and West Sunset Drive.
  • A person reported he believed his daughter stole his coins that were in a coffee container at 10:06 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Frame Avenue.
  • Two were taken into custody after a man displayed a gun at 10:37 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Delafield Street after a fight involving five people broke out. One of the arrests was for an incident other than the fight. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.
  • A fight was reported at a bar at 11:56 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Clinton Street. One person had a possible broken nose.
  • A person was arrested following a fight at 12:32 a.m. Friday at a bar in the 900 block of Friedman Drive.
  • A man was arrested at 12:43 a.m. Friday after a domestic disturbance was reported at 12:43 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of South West Avenue. The man was uncooperative with police and was placed in a restraint chair. The man, who was intoxicated, punched a hole in the wall.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after a two-car accident with injuries was reported at 2:35 a.m. Friday.
  • A man was warned about the proper use of 911 and a woman was advised to not harass the man after the man reported receiving threatening phone calls at 4:45 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Plaza Court.
