Police Report: OWI Crash; Skipping School

Waukesha Police Department calls from Sept. 1 and Sept. 2.

  • The theft of sound equipment from a locked cargo trailer was reported at 10:11 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of White Rock Avenue.
  • A person was arrested at taser point after stealing a wallet and fleeing on foot at 12:13 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
  • An attempted theft of a moped was reported at 1:08 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of North Grand Avenue.
  • A theft of a laptop was reported at 1:14 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North East Avenue.
  • Two truant juveniles were sent home at 1:43 p.m. Thursday from West Laflin and South East avenues and were warned to enroll in middle school.
  • A man who was apparently driving a friend’s vehicle was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after driving the car into a pole at 2:59 p.m. Thursday at Fleetfoot Drive and Blackhawk Trail.
  • A burglary was reported at 3:23 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of  White Rock Avenue.
  • A verbal argument with allegations of racial slurs being used between two women were reported at 3:28 p.m. Thursday. One woman came to a nail salon in the 400 block of West Sunset Drive and asked for an employee to go to the hospital with her to remove her daughter’s fake nails. The employee denied the request and another customer repeated the employees words, which prompted the argument between the two women.
  • A woman reported at 4:09 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Beechwood Avenue that someone stole her two dogs from their kennel. The dogs actually had escaped and the Humane Animal Welfare Society took custody of the dogs. The woman was advised about the location of her dogs.
  • A person was arrested for a narcotics violation at 4:41 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of White Rock Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 5:41 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of West Sunset Drive.
  • A man who was found bleeding in the middle of the street was transported to Froedtert Hospital at 5:50 p.m. Thursday. No witnesses saw the man fall off his bike and it was unknown if the man was hit by a car. The man was not conscious when police were called.
  • Juveniles were reportedly skateboarding on the stairs at Hawthorne Elementary School. At 6:18 p.m. Thursday. The kids were gone before police arrived.
  • Police transported a dog who was hit by a vehicle at 6:49 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Easy Street to the vet. Police located the dog’s owner, who told them the dog had slipped off the leash.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 9:05 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block  of West St. Paul Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant after it was reported that people were arguing at 12:47 a.m. Friday at Maple Avenue and Arlington Street.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 1:08 a.m. Friday at West Laflin and South Grand avenues.
  • A person was taken into protective custody after a person threatened suicide in downtown Waukesha in the 300 block of West Main Street at 2:43 a.m. Friday. Police were not allowing people at The Clarke Hotel to exit on Main Street because of the threat.
  • Fletcher Arms was burglarized at 3:59 a.m. Friday in the 1400 block of East Main Street.
  • The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man after it was reported that he slapped his girlfriend at 4:14 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of East Main Street.
