Police Report: Lighting Toys on Fire; Sledding on Neighbor’s Property

  • Vehicles were doing donuts in a parking lot at Waukesha North High School at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday.
  • An arrest was made after it was reported two people were fighting over a purse at 3:41 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Arcadian Avenue.
  • A TV was stolen during a burglary at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of South Grand Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on a warrant at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
  • A woman was reportedly being boisterous with a neighbor because the neighbor had told the woman’s children to stop sledding on his property and to keep snow off the sidewalk at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday. The woman felt he shouldn’t have talked to the children without an adult present. The woman was advised about her behavior and that her children should stay off the neighbor’s property.
  • A juvenile was warned after a parent asked police to speak to the juvenile about recent behavior and refusal to follow house rules, like cleaning and curfew at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Delafield Street.
  • Two juveniles who found a lighter in the basement of a building in the 100 block of Kilps Court East were trying to start paper, toys, stuffed animals and clothing on fire at 8:02 p.m. Tuesday. The juveniles and their parents were warned.
  • A possible intoxicated driver was reported at 8:09 p.m. Tuesday at East Broadway and North Racine Avenue but the driver was not drunk. The driver had not eaten all day and was unstable on his feet. He was given a ride home.
  • A hit-and-run car accident was reported at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of West Moreland Boulevard.
  • An 8-year-old’s cell phone was reported stolen at 10:12 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Madison Street.
  • A person was arrested for a domestic disturbance at 3:17 a.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Big Bend Road.
