Police Report: Kids Playing on Train Tracks; Theft from Vehicle

Waukesha Police Department calls from Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.

  • A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at 8:01 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West Sunset Drive.
  • An accident involving an injury was reported at 1:08 p.m. Saturday at East Broadway and Highway 164.
  • A man was arrested after it was reported he was hitting himself in the head and asking police to arrest him at 4:23 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Silvernail Road.
  • Two juveniles reportedly were playing on the train tracks with a train expected in about 15 minutes at 5:01 p.m. Saturday at Hoover and South West avenues. The children were gone when police arrived.
  • A burglary was reported at 5:18 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North Hine Avenue.
  • A possible domestic disturbance was reported at 5:39 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Cecilia Court.
  • A person who fell asleep listening to the radio in his parked car was woken up by police at 6:11 p.m. Saturday in the 11000 block of Fleetfoot Drive. The man was not intoxicated.
  • A person was arrested for open intoxicants in the park at 8:17 p.m. Saturday near the 900 block of Friedman Drive.
  • A home was ding-dong ditched at 9:56 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Fox River Circle.
  • A bar in the 300 block of West Main Street agreed to turn the music after a loud noise complaint at 10:04 p.m. Saturday. Police noted that overall the noise was not excessive.
  • At least two arrests were made after it was reported that four people had broken into a vehicle at 12:04 a.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of Northview Road. The caller caught one of the suspects and held the suspect until police arrived. Police caught another suspect during an extensive search of the area.
  • Two people were advised about city ordinances after it was reported that they were shooting air soft guns at cans at 12:41 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Big Bend Road.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 1:33 a.m. Sunday at Country Springs Hotel.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 2:29 a.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Pebble Valley Road.
  • A person was arrested after a fight was reported at 2:34 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of South Grand Avenue.
  • Several residents in the 1800 block of Haymarket Road reported hearing an explosion but police were unable to locate any evidence of an explosion at 2:56 a.m. Sunday.
