Police Report: Intoxicated Man in Ladies’ Restroom at Library, a Meat Cleaver and Popcorn

Waukesha Police Department calls from March 4 and March 5.

A woman, who was about to be evicted, threw a meat cleaver in a snow bank when the property manager attempted to take a vehicle at 1:32 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of Easy Street. The property manager contacted police to report the disorderly conduct incident and the woman was arrested.

In other calls:

  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at Butler Middle School at 2:01 p.m. Friday.
  • An identity theft incident was reported at 2:15 p.m. Friday in the 3200 block of Rolling Ridge Drive.
  • An intoxicated man who wandered into the ladies’ restroom at Waukesha Public Library at 5:12 p.m. Friday found himself in police custody instead. When police responded to the library, the officer learned the suspect had a warrant out for his arrest.
  • A juvenile was warned that further behavioral issues could result in arrest after it was reported he attacked his mother when she took away his popcorn at 5:24 p.m. Friday in the 2400 block of Springdale Road.
  • The theft of a can of soup was reported at 9:56 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Silvernail Road. A grocery store manager followed the suspect on foot and planned to follow up with police later.
  • A woman was arrested after it was reported that she was in a fenced in area at 11:08 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Prospect Court. The woman led police on a foot chase.
  • A person was arrested after a domestic disturbance was reported at 11:08 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of North East Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 12:34 a.m. Saturday during a traffic stop on Grand Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after a vehicle hit a pole at 1:54 a.m. Saturday at Merrill Hills Road and Summit Avenue.
  • A person who was driving a 15-passenger van that had eight people in it was arrested at 1:56 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of intoxicated driving in the 900 block of Northview Road.
  • A fight involving 15 to 20 people broke out at 2:29 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Williams Street but the individuals involved fled before police arrived.
